We serve fresh breakfasts, brunch, lunch and early evening dishes in a vibrant neighbourhood café-bistro, so we’re looking for someone with previous bistro or café experience who thrives in a fast-paced service.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to ensure consistently high standards across every service. You’ll play a key role in leading the kitchen, maintaining quality, and supporting the development of our menu.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Prepare and present fresh, high-quality dishes
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising waste
- Train and support junior kitchen staff
- Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef
- Essential: Experience working in a busy bistro or café
- Strong breakfast, brunch and lunch service experience
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Calm under pressure with a positive, team-focused attitude
- Passion for fresh food and high standards
